Warm Mineral Springs Park

Find that old Florida vibe
At Warm Mineral Springs Park, you will find a day full of relaxation.

Step into the past at the only natural warm spring in Florida! With a consistent average temperature of 85 degrees year-round, Warm Mineral Springs Park provides visitors with both therapeutic and passive recreation experiences. The spring, listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places, is rumored to have one of the highest mineral contents of any natural spring in the United States. With anaerobic and highly mineralized properties, internationally known for its purported healing qualities, the park attracts more than 150,000 visitors annually who journey to soak in its waters.

As a result of significant damage from Hurricane Elsa and Ian, the historic building complex which includes the gift shop, permanent showers, restrooms, changing facilities and lockers is closed to public access. A temporary admissions building and portable restroom trailer has been brought onsite for visitor use. Although concession services are not available at the park, visitors have the option to bring in small coolers for food and drink or can take advantage of local food trucks that are often staged outside the park. Glassware and alcoholic beverages are not allowed.

Multi‑Visit Pass Policy
The City offers multi‑visit discounted admission passes (10‑visit and 30‑visit) for advance purchase. All visits must be used within 180 days of the initial purchase date. Passes are non‑refundable. Once a pass has reached its final expiration date, including any extensions noted below, the remaining visits hold no cash value and will be forfeited.

Passes are non‑transferable outside the purchasing household. A pass may be used by individuals residing within the same household. The City reserves the right to request proof of residency to verify eligibility. Use by individuals outside the purchasing household is strictly prohibited and may result in revocation without refund.

Age and Residency Requirements
All existing age-based admission requirements and residency requirements continue to apply to each visit redeemed with a multi‑visit pass. Purchase of a multi‑visit pass does not exempt any pass holder from age restrictions, supervision rules, or residency verification procedures in place at the facility.

Facility Closure Extensions
If the City closes the facility due to a named storm, hurricane, or other emergency conditions beyond the City’s control, the expiration date of affected multi-visit passes will be automatically extended to reflect the duration of the closure.

Expiration dates are not extended for temporary closures due to lightning or inclement weather during operating hours. If a patron has entered the park and the facility closes due to lightning, staff will follow the established raincheck policy by stamping the receipt at the exit and issuing a raincheck for a future visit.

No other extensions will be granted.

Purchase and use of a multi‑visit pass constitute acceptance of this policy. The City reserves the right to verify identity or residency at the time of use to ensure compliance with non‑transferability requirements.

The City may modify, suspend, or terminate this policy or the associated programs at any time, in accordance with applicable laws and municipal regulations.

Master Plan Status

A Master Plan for Warm Mineral Springs Park was adopted in April 2019 following extensive stakeholder meetings, community engagement sessions and public surveys. To learn more about the Master Plan and efforts towards implementation of improvements at the park, visit the North Port page for the Master Plan.

Lightning Alarm Status

If you're at Warm Mineral Springs Park when the horn and/or the light activates, the lifeguards will direct you to clear the area and seek shelter indoors for thirty minutes. Each time lightning is detected within eight miles, the alert system timer resets to thirty minutes and begins counting down again.

When the system no longer detects a threat, three five-second blasts from the horn will sound and the strobe light will stop flashing. The lifeguards will announce when the pool/springs reopens.
